As the year comes to a close and you move on, this blog will cease to exist as you know it. It is here that I would like to tell you how much you have impressed me with your creativity, motivation, dedication, and ability to amaze and "WOW" me.
The yearbook is a stunning production and has set the standard for years to come. Not only because of the color, but the original cover, the continuity, and an excellent theme.
The Cans Film Festival will be fabulous and again - you have set a new standard. The films are fabulous and I know the student body and faculty will be impressed.
Finally, I am excited to see the excitement generated with the blogs. I think J-Duh posted about how much more her blog will become in the future; not just an assignment for the media class, but a way to keep in contact with the rest of you. What a great idea! It never entered my head that this would be such an exponetial project. I have already found blogs created from students in our school, but not in our class. Blogs with fabulous ideas and heart-felt opinions. You are the future and it is yours to embrace. I look forward to reading your blogs in the months to come (providing that you keep it up).
Remember to blog with integrity and with common sense.
As your teacher, I have never been prouder of class. To each of you, I offer my congratulations and sincerely hope the future brings you many joys and a ton of riches.
Now for your final assignment. You need to respond to this post how you would change the class AND what was the best and what was the worst. Thanks for making it a great year!

A Crow in a Pear Tree
Respond to one of the facts and the image below.

1. Crows are survivors. They succeed anywhere, under any conditions. They do whatever it takes to make it and will be the last one standing when disaster strikes. It doesn't matter what it takes - picking through trash, cleaning a carcass on the road, fighting a hawk twice their size - the crow will win out.
2. Crows are determined. They get what they want. Again, they do what it takes to attain their goals and obtain their wants.
3. Crows have no fear. They look upon everything in the world as normal and common. There is nothing to fear in the mundane.
4. Crows delight in solitude and companionship. Some birds must be solitary, others must be paired, many must exist in groups. Crows move into and out of any of these situations with ease. They are as content with themselves as they are with a mate or with a crowd (splendidly termed a "murder").
5. Crows get along well with most everyone. Crows are often found in very mixed groups of birds. They move among them with obvious ease, but without ever losing their unique identity.
6. Crows are smart. They problem-solve, they evaluate situations, they make choices based on analysis.
7. Crows have personality. Crows do not blend into the background. They do not morph into a clone of their compatriots. They have individuality, specific behaviors, likes and dislikes.
8. Crows are independent. They march to the beat of no other drum but their own.
