1. Crows are survivors. They succeed anywhere, under any conditions. They do whatever it takes to make it and will be the last one standing when disaster strikes. It doesn't matter what it takes - picking through trash, cleaning a carcass on the road, fighting a hawk twice their size - the crow will win out.
2. Crows are determined. They get what they want. Again, they do what it takes to attain their goals and obtain their wants.
3. Crows have no fear. They look upon everything in the world as normal and common. There is nothing to fear in the mundane.
4. Crows delight in solitude and companionship. Some birds must be solitary, others must be paired, many must exist in groups. Crows move into and out of any of these situations with ease. They are as content with themselves as they are with a mate or with a crowd (splendidly termed a "murder").
5. Crows get along well with most everyone. Crows are often found in very mixed groups of birds. They move among them with obvious ease, but without ever losing their unique identity.
6. Crows are smart. They problem-solve, they evaluate situations, they make choices based on analysis.
7. Crows have personality. Crows do not blend into the background. They do not morph into a clone of their compatriots. They have individuality, specific behaviors, likes and dislikes.
8. Crows are independent. They march to the beat of no other drum but their own.

This person sounds like a wacky...I'm not sure they should be trusted.
I agree. But the pastel is GORGEOUS.
Oh, yea...definitely wacky
I completely 100% hate birds, so the fact that a crow will be the one to survive is very disturbing. Regardless, it is a very lifelike depiction of a crow.
Well, I guess I'd rather the crow than something like a pigeon...hate to be the last person standing and have bird doo on my head...
But if you were a pigeon, you'd be the one doing the doo.
I love the painting but hate crows...I saw a crow the other day. It scared me! Crows give off an eerie feeling.
when i was younger, we lived in a house in champlin (near the cities). one day my family was outside, just hanging out, and saw a crow chase an innocent little bird into the side of our garage. the little bird died. the crow lived. ever since, i have hated crows. another story, tasha and i were 4-wheeling, making new trails and suddenly, a bunch of crows just flew up out of the trees and we decided it was like a scene in sleepy hollow because the forest was spooky.
I went running this morning and saw a crow. It reminded me of the comments made here. I thought it was beautiful. The crow, that is.
The painting is sweeto, but i hate crows. I hit one the other day or a bird of some kind driving and laughed cause it was funny!
Crows are so independent..they are not influenced by what other birds are doing. It is as if they boast about themselves because they have a character that allows them to stand out...the painting is quite unique though
